The family is important in all cultures and religions. There are many different types of family and the word 'family' means different things to different people. Our relationships within the family can bring happiness or misery. In our families and relationships work we shall consider the role of the family in different faiths. We shall also look at some of the challenges that life today presents - not least when differences of opinion occur with regard to the place of lesbian and gay people in our families.
